Youtuber of the month

Hi Everyone

I came across this woman this morning and I have to say I am impressed with this video.  I have to check out the rest of her videos but this one is worth watching.

Some good points are made in this clip:

  • Try a Kindle - Tick - I love a book in my hand but there is a place for my Kindle too.
  • Try 'Libby' - Tick - Great resource for audio books. I didn't know that I could use Libby connected to my kindle!  I must look into this option.
  • Accountability partner - Tick - Find someone to share books with it makes the journey so much more fun.
  • Make notes - Tick - This so something I never used to do, but since I have started I get so much more out of what I am reading

Okay.... I'm going to pop over and check out some of her other videos and see if I think she is worth of putting on my subscription list.... I will be back!

I'm back 😀

Most of her other clips aren't focused around books but there are some good informative clips on her channel.  This one you will need to take a look into and see if Elena Taber has anything you are interested in.  I for one though, think this clip is worth watching. It is very inspiring and has some good points.

Booktuber of the Month

Hi Everyone

It is time for another Booktuber to look into.  I have been following CarolynMarieReads for a while now and I enjoy all of her clips.  She is intelligent, bright and sweet.  I want highlight this clip in particular because she gives her opinion as to why children's literature is important, not only for the young but for all of us.  She has some very good points.

I enjoy children's literature more every year.  I have fond memories of sitting 'on the mat' in primary school and being read aloud to.  I remember the Hobbit and The Wind in the Willows.  I think there will always be a place in my heart for children's literature hence my reasoning behind encouraging children to read.  Even when a child struggles to read - read to them.  We all need to know and keep a special place in this world for children's literature.  Carolyn will help you to see some of the qualities of children's literature in the above Youtube link.  Take a look at what she brings to the world of books.

Booktuber of the Month

Hi Everyone

I have been enjoying 'For love of classics' Youtube channel for a while now and I find her very enjoyable to watch.  Most of her book hauls and reviews cover classical literature.  I like the way that she manages to make 'classics' sound like a new piece of literature.  No matter what she is reviewing I always end up thinking, "I must read that".

Well, if that isn't a good enough reason to check out her Youtube channel, then you really need to take a look at this clip.  She has two young ladies helping her bring to you some children's books.  They do a fantastic job and they made me smile the whole way through.  Together they made reading sound like sound so much fun.

These two young ladies might just get to help bring you more children's books in the future if you give them a little support.  Lets keep the kids encouraged and take a look in on the choices they have shared.

Great work ladies!

Booktuber of the month

 Hi Everyone

It has been a while since I gave you a Booktuber of the the month.  Reason being that many of the Booktubers started to sound the same.  They presented to me the same content and reviewed that same books.  I wanted to see a Booktuber giving me what they were passionate about.  Reading what they wanted to read and being able see that in their content.

I found one!

Introducing - *e m m i e *

I have to showcase her today because she has in this video.....  'Anne of Green Gables' by L. M. Montgomery.  She is girl after my own heart.  When I listen to her passion for what she is reading and how she goes so deep into the novels, I can't help but want to hear more from her.

So, *e m m i e* keep reading and bringing us more videos and stay true to what you bring us.

And to everyone else, click on the link above and take a look in at what she is bringing the world.  You may like her and I am sure she will inspire and teach us all to look deeper into the novels we are reading.

Book tuber of the month

Hi Everyone

Once again we have come to the time of the month where I look at all the booktubers that have inspired my reading for the month and choose the one I want to highlight the most.

This month A Clockwork Reader caught my eye.  I particularly love this unboxing.  It is the FairLoot box which I haven't managed to come across ye,t so I will be looking further into that next.  I really want a book box which I can get sent to me, many don't ship to my country but I will keep looking.  Anyway she gets quite excited over the candle and makes me want the box!

She has a variety of clips on her channel and they seem to be inspirational and informational.  I have noticed that many of the booktubers that I have watched over the years have started doing funny stuff... I still prefer reviews, TBR's, book hauls, box openings and the likes, over the crazy, funny, look at me posts.  A Clockwork Reader brings me exactly what I like and inspires me to read what she adds to her channel.

So take look in on here channel A Clockwork Reader

New to booktube

Hi Everyone,

I have managed to stumble across Elizabeth over at her chanel "Elizabeth's Shelf Life".  She is new to the booktube world and I am really enjoying her clips.  She reads all sorts of books including adult!  Awesome Elizabeth, we need more booktubers with a wide genre and age group in there clips. I really like this about her clips as I read a wide range of genres rather than sticking to the same old norm that everyone else is reading around me... it makes reading interesting and I am sure it will make her clips interesting.

She has a maturity about her that I think I am going to enjoy.  At the moment she only 7 clips up but they are regularly being put up which means that each time I look in on her she seems to have something new to inform me about.

Take a look at the above clip as she tells you a lot about herself and what she is wanting from her channel.

I will be watching Elizabeth with hope that she continues on with her booktubing adventure.

All the best Elizabeth!

Booktuber of the month...

Hi Everyone,

This month I have didn't get a lot of time to watch Youtube because... it is summer here!  So, I have chosen my Booktuber of the Month based on the booktubbers that I like to continually look in on.  My choice from that being The Book Leo who tubes regularly and I find her quite creative.

One of the best things I find with this Booktuber is she isn't always reading what all the other booktubers are reading.  It can become quite dull when you look for book reveiwers, both via blogs and Youtube, only to find they are all reviewing the same thing.  The Book Leo reviews a vast range of books and she also places on clips like above, which recommends books because of the movie.

Take a look in on her and you will see she has quite a genuine style.  I feel like she has an honesty behind her clips... see what you think.

Booktuber of the month

Hi Everyone,

I have chosen 'A Dash of Ash' as my booktuber for January.  She has a ceretain character about her presentation, not just the same traditional booktuber voice to her clips.  She also has a variety of clips which keep her channel fresh.  The main thing that I like about her channel is the frequency in which she posts.

The above two clips are from her channel and the link will take to more of her videos.  I love seeing other people express excitement over their bookshelves.  I also like the Owlcrate opening clips.  I wish we had book boxes like this on my country but no, not yet.  Maybe it is something that I should be suggesting to our national publishers... mmm thinking now 🤔.

Take a journey over to A Dash of Ash's channel and check out what she is doing.  She has a good range to show you and I'm sure there will be something that will inspire you there.

December booktuber of the month

Hi Everyone,

So that I don't become too distracted with all the Christmas entertainment around the place, I am bringing you my choice of booktuber for this month a few days early.  I am highlighting Ermahgerd Berks because she is fresh and I like her honesty.

As she unboxes the romance books she isn't slow in claiming she wont read them and doesn't like romance books.  Quite often Youtubers can sound like they are selling a product.  Not this young lady.  I really like that about her.

I also like that she reads the back of the books and audios.  At times I watch unboxings and have no idea about the product, only that unboxing looks fun and all the books have beautiful covers.  I have to admit that while I watched this unboxing clip, I skipped over to check out the audio box link.  I haven't come across this particular link before (maybe you should check it out too).

In addition to the book product that she unboxes I love the Christmas stockings that hang behind her!

So, check out the link and clip above to see what she presents.  Her clips seem very regular, honest and she lets you know what she is actually unpacking and/or reading.

Booktuber of the month

Hi everyone,

It is the end of October and I bring to you my lastest find for youtuber of the month.  He seems to be very up beat, which I always like in a person.  He also posts very regularly, one thing I find important when I want to look in on what a tuber has been reading.

Check out his dog.  The most adorable siberian husky.  I may just watch to see his dog!

Connor O'Brien has a good range of reviews and also incorporates variety with wind-ups, bookcase tours and the all famous unboxing.  There aren't a heap of male booktubers out there in comparison to the girls, but here we go.... Connnor he has made my choice of booktuber for the month of October.  Click the link above or watch the clip I have attached today then take a look over at the rest of his reviews.

As for booktuber nominations, if you have a favourite that you think I should check out then comment below and send me their link.  I will take a look.

Tuber of the month

Hi Everyone

I was grabbed more this month by the Ted Talks on youtube than by booktubers.  I found this interesting woman, Rebecca Bellingham.  She has a point.  One of which I will shout from the mountain tops.  We should read to children aloud!  My kids still love to be read aloud to.  Sometimes they sit on their computers while I read aloud, and they still tell me what the story was about.  It is never too late to read out loud to your kids and give them a wonderful experience of the written world.

Take a look at this clip by Rebecca and she what she has to say about reading aloud.  I agree totally with what she has to say.  I was one of those children that struggled to get into the book but was good at decoding.  I had one teacher that read to me out loud and I wish there had of been more, especially in my teen years.

Now go ahead, pick up a book and start reading to your kids!

Booktuber highlight

Zenith

Hi Everyone

Bookutopia has a book now!  It is due to be released soon on ebook and she is highlighting it on this youtube clip.  I have given Bookutopia my 'booktuber of the month' before, and like her spark.  I had no idea she was co-authoring a book.

This is one I will be checking out.  Take a look at the clip and see if it is one you would be interested in.  I think it is good to give all our up and budding authors a chance.  We all have to start some, right.  Link in and see what you think.

Book-tuber of the month

Hi everyone

I am having trouble believing it is the end of February, but it is!  So, I had to search my subscription list for my choice of book tuber this month.

And, here we have it.  Drum roll, please.  My choice for book tuber this month goes to Abookutopia.  She has a spark about her and she posts regularly.  Not only does she do what everyone else in be tubing world is doing, she ventures out into the big wide world to bookstores and Hogwarts.  Now, having just completed the Harry Potter series with my son, how can not look into how others are interpreting these stories.

Take a look in on abookutopia and see what she is offering the book world.  Good on you abookutopia keep tubing and bringing life to books for the teen audience.

To all you other book tubers out there, let me know who you are by leaving a comment or a link below.  I would love to look into your channel and see what your are reading.

BookTuber of the month

Calling all BookTubers!  Would you like me to check out your channel?  Then leave a comment below and let me know about you.  Each month I search the world of BookTubers to see what is happening in the book review world.  There are the ones that I have watched for a long time, but what about all you new people out there.  It would be nice to highlight some of the newbies,  we all deserve a chance when we are starting something new.  So here is your chance.  Flick me a comment and your link and I will take a look.  You never know, you may just make it onto my BookTuber of the month list.
This month I have chosen Riley Marie.  I have no idea how long she has been doing her reviews for but she looks fresh and young.  Good on Riley for telling us all about the books she has been reading.  I enjoyed her honesty and her reasoning's.  Keep on reading and reviewing, Riley.

Booktuber of the month

Hi everyone

October is almost over, that means that Summer is just around the corner here.  It also means that it is exam season.  Speaking of which I have just spent the morning sitting one of mine, 2 to go and I am finished.  Yes finished for ever!  No more exams!  Can you tell how happy I am about that.

Anyway, to my Booktuber of the month.  This month I am highlighting:

Jesse the reader

I like his style.  His enthusiasm is catching.  I find myself sitting with my kindle and goodreads link at hand as I catalogue new TBR for myself.  I particularly enjoy his bloopers at the end.  I would like to see more tubers highlighting the bloopers, they are so much fun to watch and you get a glimpse at the reality of filming.  I have been watching Jesse's reviews and TBR's for a while now.   Take a look in and see what he is reading, especially if you enjoy young adult books.

Book tuber of the month

Hi everyone

I thought I would give you an insight into my favorite book tubers.  Each month I will give you a new book tuber to take a look at.  These tubers inspire me to keep reading.  I like to flick on a reviewer and take a look at what they have read for the month.  They often have 'to be reads'  and 'book marathons'.  I watch them and add new books to my Goodreads shelves.  Seriously, my Goodreads shelves just keep growing.  They seem to have minds of their own!

This month I am giving you 'The little book owl'.  I have been watching her reviews for a while now.  She must read all the time!  What I like most about this book tuber is her variety and the fact that she consistently places new videos to her channel.
